  7.      The automatic installation process should now be complete.  You should
  8.      now jump ahead to the section entitled "Getting TriBBS to  Run on Boot
  9.      Up".  Although for further insight about what the installation program
  10.      has done, you may want to read the manual installation sections.

  12.      IMPORTANT:  INSTALL.EXE is  only  designed for  installing new  TriBBS
  13.      systems and  should not be used  for installing additional nodes  on a
  14.      multinode system or upgrading from a previous version of TriBBS.

  17.      Manual Installation
  18.      -------------------

  20.      The first  step  in the  manual installation  process is  to create  a
  21.      TRIBBS subdirectory on your  hard disk.  If your hard  disk is your C:
  22.      drive, you  could do this by entering the following at the DOS command
  23.      prompt:

  25.      MD C:\TRIBBS
  26.  
  27.      Next you should copy all of the files that were included in the TriBBS
  28.      archive to this new subdirectory.   This can be accomplished  with the
  29.      following command:

  31.      COPY *.* \TRIBBS
  32.  
  33.      Now  you can delete the TriBBS archive files in your current directory
  34.      by entering the following command:

  36.      DEL *.*
  37.  
  38.      IMPORTANT: Be sure  there aren't  any other non-TriBBS  files in  your
  39.      current directory  before you enter the  above command.   If you don't
  40.      check  for other files, you will  lose them.  If  there are other non-
  41.      TriBBS files  in your current directory,  you will have to  delete the
  42.      TriBBS files one at a time.

  44.      The  next step  is to  change to the  newly created  TRIBBS directory.
  45.      This can be done with the following command:

  47.      CD \TRIBBS

  49.      Now  you  must  initialize your  TriBBS  system  by  running the  file
  50.      BBS.EXE.   To do  this,  you simply  enter the  following  at the  DOS
  51.      prompt:

  55.      IMPORTANT: If your modem  uses another port other than  COM1, you must
  56.      start TriBBS with the following command:
